As General Manager of Montage Kapalua Bay, I am thrilled to share with you some exceptional experiences we have had during our recent stay. While the pool service was undoubtedly stretched thin due to Covid-19 staffing challenges, there were a few individuals who truly stood out and made our vacation unforgettable.

At the Serenity Pool, Zanobe and Kody went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. They demonstrated genuine care and concern in addressing our preferences, which was no easy feat considering we required a mix of sun and shade, away from loud groups and screaming children. Their attentiveness was impressive, and they were always prompt, courteous, and eager to help.

Anna at the concierge desk was another standout. She expertly coordinated multiple days' worth of activities for us, even patiently assisting when plans needed to be adjusted due to unforeseen circumstances. Her dedication to ensuring our stay was enjoyable was remarkable.

Several other staff members also caught our attention. Unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to learn their names, but the housekeeping team that took care of our room was truly impressive. They showed incredible attention to detail, leaving our space spotless and meticulously organized every day. It was clear they took pride in their work.

One particular incident stands out: I had accidentally left coffee in the pot when heading to the pool for the day, but upon returning, I found not only that the pot and filter were clean, but also that the coffee maker had been neatly put back and everything surrounding it was tidy. It was a small touch, but it showed us that our room was being taken care of with thoughtfulness.

Of course, testing to get to Montage Kapalua Bay was extremely stressful due to Covid-19 protocols, but once we arrived, the relief was palpable. Our room was consistently cleaned and maintained daily, with any dishes or utensils left behind being cleaned and put away, tea towels refolded and hung back up, and trash and dirty linens removed. We even found water bottles in the fridge had been refilled without asking, and detergent and dryer sheets were provided so we could wash clothes if needed.

The little touches really made our stay special, such as the supply of Maui coffee in the kitchen. It was a thoughtful gesture that added to our overall sense of relaxation and rejuvenation at Montage Kapalua Bay. As General Manager, I am proud to work with such a dedicated and caring team, and we look forward to welcoming you to our resort soon.
